Background
We’re honored to begin our GeoStory Camps in collaboration with the Yanomami. One of the most iconic Indigenous peoples of the Amazon. Deep in the rainforest along the Brazil–Venezuela border, the Yanomami have long defended their land, culture, and way of life against illegal mining and deforestation. Through our GeoStory Camp, we will work hand-in-hand with Yanomami leaders and youth to document the threats they face and the deep ecological knowledge they carry, using cameras, maps, and Indigenous storytelling.
