Background

We’re proud to begin our GeoStory Camps in partnership with the Bembiteli community, deep in the Congo Basin. One of the richest and most vital ecosystems on Earth. For generations, the Bembiteli people have protected their forests and rivers, facing increasing pressure from logging, mining, and land grabs. Through this initiative, we will collaborate closely with community leaders and youth to document these ongoing challenges, while celebrating their ancestral knowledge and deep relationship with the land. Using tools like cameras, maps, and Indigenous-led storytelling, we aim to support their fight for justice and recognition. This project is currently in preparation. Want to stay informed as it unfolds? Subscribe to our newsletter below and follow this journey from the heart of the Congo Basin.
